Edited by Virginia I. Harvey. Park Weaves is a reprint of the Shuttle Craft Guild Monograph No. 37, originally published in 1987. It is one of a set of monographs that describe the weaves of Dr. William Bateman, a retired chemist who spent years methodically studying weave structures. It combines excerpts from the manuscript by Dr. Bateman with further explanations of the structures by editor Virginia Harvey. The monograph begins with a description of the rules of park weaves and then continues by showing the variations that Dr. Bateman devised. It is filled with drafts and black and white photos of woven samples. The material demands a foundation in weave structures but is a rewarding exploration.
