Nature Spun Fingering is a fingering weight wool yarn. It has a huge color line, including undyed naturals and dyed colors, so it is a great choice for Fair Isle sweaters, but it also would make a great knitted or woven scarf. It is soft and warm but strong enough to work as warp for a weaving project. Most colors felt well, but Brown Sheep does not recommend 740 Snow for felting. Color 730 Natural will felt but takes longer than other colors so it is best not to mix it with other colors in a felting project. Natures Spun Fingering has been permanently mothproofed.
Brown Sheep Yarn Company, located in Mitchell, Nebraska, started over 100 years ago as a sheep farm. In the 1980's, they began to produce their own yarn and continue to do so using environmentally-friendly state-of-the-art equipment.
