Maybe it was the color combination or maybe it was the juxtaposition of simple, clean lines and fun accent colorwork, but this design seemed to have a 1950s vibe. Put it down alongside your Eames lounge chair or Noguchi table! It is weft faced, with the warp visible only in the borders woven at the beginning and end. The colorwork bands are woven by alternating picks of different colors. The kit makes one hemmed rug with finished dimensions of 33" x 68.5". It can be spot cleaned and, if necessary, hand washed and air dried.

For our warp, we chose 100% cotton 8/4 Carpet Warp. The weft is 100% wool Quebecoise. Quebecoise is just the right weight to weave a sturdy rug but still allow for fine detail. It comes in lots of colors so you can customize your rug kit!

You will need:

• 36" weaving width
• 4 harnesses
• 12 dent reed
• 430 heddles
• 4 flat, ski, or rag shuttles

Our rug was woven using Quebecoise 78 Charcoal as the main color, with accents of 92 Natural, and a gray and a gold that are no long available. We're now substituting the slightly brighter gold 112 and a solid, rather than heathered, gray in the kit. The carpet warp color is 13 Black.
