Someone we know dubbed projects like this "no-drama projects." They are easy to do in front of the TV, on the bus, or in a waiting room. This baby blanket by Anna Hurla is knit in four garter stitch stripes. You simply knit with each color until you run out. That's "no drama!" It is easy to customize, too. The finished measurements of our blanket are 29" x 39," made with two skeins each of four colors but you could get the same size by using eight skeins of one color, four skeins each of two colors, or one skein each of eight colors. Your baby, your blanket!

Meraki is one of Berroco's summer yarns. It is a blend of 71% cotton, 24% hemp, and 5% polyester, which makes it comfortable for those July babies. The cotton and hemp take the dye slightly differently, plus the yarn is thick and thin, so the finished fabric has a wonderful texture with subtle color variations. It is a DK weight and, in this project, is knit slightly loosely at 5 stitches per inch, measured after washing and drying.

The kit includes the pattern and yarn. You will also need:

• 32" circular needle in US size 7 (OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE)
• tapestry needle
