Louet's Flying Dutchman shuttle is unique. It has a metal arch on the top to help ease the shuttle through small or sticky sheds. It also has a plastic band that bows out on the side. The yarn feeds through an eye on this and the position of the eye allows the yarn to feed off the bobbin more smoothly, helping create more uniform selvedges. Please note: This is not a shuttle to use in a fly shuttle beater.

Each shuttle comes fitted with one paper quill. Additional 5.3" quills are available in bundles of 10.
