A simple lace design takes on added dimension when two colors are used: one for the warp and a second one for the weft, highlighting the floats and giving great depth of color. The lace blocks make a geometric pattern against a background of plain weave. We're using Alpaca Silk, a blend of 80% alpaca and 20% silk. It is supple but strong, with a nice drape. The finished measurements are 19" x 84". It can be hand washed and air dried.

You will need:

• 1 cone each two colors of Alpaca Silk
• 20.5" weaving width
• 8 harnesses
• 10-dent reed
• 404 heddles
• boat shuttle and bobbin
