Detailed Description

This knitting class is suitable for knitters who have been actively knitting and would like to expand their technical skills. If you know how to knit, but it has been a few years since you picked up needles and yarn, please take the Introduction to Knitting class first.

Field Handwarmers

July 26 (Sun.) 4:30-6:30 p.m. 3 weeks

Interested in finally using that perfect skein of yarn? Give Camila Vad's Field Mittens ($7) a try! You will make a beautiful pair of fingerless gloves designed with a cabled motif of nupps (multiple knits and yarn overs worked into the same stitch). Basic cabling skills are recommended but not required; this class is great for learning. You should be comfortable making basic increases and decreases for this pattern. Bring a single skein of any DK weight yarn (we recommend Chalet DK or House DK), one set of US 2.5 double pointed knitting needles, and cable needles to sow your own Field Mittens and watch them grow! By Magnus Primm.

Please purchase your class supplies before the first day of class. You can order online and ask that we leave it at the store to pick up. All shipping charges will be removed.

Class supply list:
