Encore is a worsted weight blend of 75% acrylic and 25% machine washable wool. The manufacturer markets it to knitters, but weavers don't need to miss out. It makes a great baby blanket. The care is easy--machine wash and dry--and, sett at 8 epi, it is quick to thread and weave. The 4 harness structure, M's and O's, creates areas of plain weave and areas of weft floats. When seen from a distance, they give the effect of circles. The blanket has finished measurements of 39" x 60" plus fringe.
