Lana Boucle is a terrific wool for weaving. It has a fun spiral texture and bright colors. We decided that a blanket using it wouldn't just be warm but would cheer us up when the temperature drops and our toes get cold. Our blanket is woven as two layers that are joined on one side. When you take it off the loom, it opens to a single layer with stripes running along all four sides. The finished blanket is 44.5" x 62" plus fringe. It can be hand washed and air dried.

You will need:

• 26" weaving width
• 4 harnesses
• 8-dent reed
• 416 heddles
• 1 or 2 large boat shuttles and bobbins

We wove our blanket using Lana Boucle main color 3 Onyx and accents 46 Sensuous Pear, 88 Mulberry, 61 Golden Sunbeam, and 24 Tropical Lagoon.
