Canvas weave is a type of lace weave. In our stole, areas of plain weave surround panels of openwork that create long vertical stripes. And you know, vertical stripes make you look taller! The yarn we chose for this project is the 5/2 Rayon, sett at 16 epi. The sheen and drape of this yarn are similar to silk, but the price is much better. Two colors are used: one for the warp and one for the weft. The kit makes one stole with finished dimensions of 14.75" x 67" plus fringe. It can be hand washed and air dried, with a quick tumble in the dryer to soften the fabric.

You will need:

• 17" weaving width
• 4 harnesses
• 8 dent reed
• 272 heddles
• 1 boat shuttle and bobbin
