Detailed Description

Slip on this classic tunic and you'll be ready for anything summer can offer. Gelato is knit in Medina, a variegated yarn that plays up beachy colors. The garment construction is designed to take advantage of Medina's striping pattern. The first thing knit is the lower back panel. Stitches are picked up along one edge and worked upward toward the neck. The front is completed in the same way and once they are done, the side panels are picked up and worked. Finally, stitches are picked up and then bound off at the neck for a simple finish. All of the knitting is done in easy garter stitch. The Gelato was designed to be worn with approximately 4-6" of ease. Finished chest measurements are 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 62)" with finished lengths of 28" for all sizes. Berroco has given this Amy Cristoffers design a difficulty rating of intermediate.

Medina is a summer dream, with one warm color flowing into another. It blends 37% cotton with 36% acrylic and 27% viscose for a breathable yarn that makes great warm-weather garments. It is a DK weight yarn and is knitted in this project at 5.5 stitcher per inch in garter stitch. Medina can be machine washed in cold on delicate and dried flat. Due to the print effect, some dye may release during the laundering process.

For this project you will also need:
