The Ashford Wide drum carder is extra wide for carding more fiber at one time. It can produce batts that are 12" wide and weigh up to 4 ounces on a carding cloth of 72 PPSI.

This carder is easy to use but versatile. The drum clearance can be adjusted to accommodate a variety of fibers and blending techniques. Two speeds can be used: 4:1 and 6:1. Also, the packer brush can be rotated for greater or lesser contact.

The Wide carder comes with:

• packer brush for pressing the fibers into the large drum for larger batts and better control of fine fibers
• cleaning brush for removing fiber
• doffer pin
• clamps to secure the carder to a work surface

The Ashford Wide drum carder comes assembled and finished with a lacquer coat. It weighs 18.5 pounds.
