The Beka swift can hold skeins from 45" to 76" in circumference. It is made of wood, with a wide base so it does not need to be clamped to the table. The arms spin on metal ball bearings for smooth motion. You simply lay the skein over the top and settle it down to where it is under tension. Untie the skein and pull one end of the yarn. The swift will turn and feed out the yarn as you wind it onto a ball winder or nostepinne.The Beka swift is made in Minnesota. It ships unassembled.
