The elegant lace design of this vest looks rather Edwardian but Hoehne can fit into any modern wardrobe. The two lace fronts are knitted separately from the bottom up, with the 8-row lace repeat worked from written instructions. The two fronts join at the back of the neck and the back is worked downward in garter stitch. Stitches are picked up and worked with an I-cord bind-off for the cap sleeves. I-cord ties are made to secure the front. The finished chest measurements are 38 (42, 43.5, 46, 52.5, 56)" with finished lengths of 22.75 (24, 25, 25.75, 26., 26.25)". The vest can be hand washed and dried flat. Designed by Courtney Spainhower.
This vest was designed for Berroco's Ultra Alpaca. It is a blend of 50% superfine alpaca and 50% Peruvian Highland wool. This makes it warm and soft but with enough body to hold its shape well. The color line offers lots of heathers as well as naturals and solid colors, so you can find the right one to coordinate with your wardrobe.
