Hero is a graceful design that combines cables and lace with the textured surface of Quinoa in stockinette. It has a flattering wide neck and subtle shaping at the waist for a feminine fit. The back, front, and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom up. The same cable panel shown on the front is worked on the back, following charts. Once the pieces are assembled, stitches on holders are joined by picked-up stitches and worked in an applied i-cord edging at the neck. Finished chest measurements are 32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56)" and finished lengths are 24 (24.5, 25, 25.5, 26, 26.5, 27)". Berroco has given this design a difficulty rating of intermediate.
Hero uses Berroco's thick-and-thin summer yarn called Quinoa. It is 91% cotton and 9% nylon, with irregular slubs that create a casual, pebbly texture. It is a DK weight yarn but it is knit here at a slightly looser gauge of 5 stitches per inch in stockinette. Quinoa can be machine washed on gentle and dried flat.
