Brioche is a great stitch for creating stretchy fabrics with interesting color work. If you haven't done it before, try it out with this reversible two-color cowl. The color pattern at one edge transitions to its opposite at the center point, for a fun geometric design. The cowl is knit in the round and follows a series of 6-round repeats. Finished measurements are 30" around and 6.5" deep--the right size for a single loop over your shoulders or a double-wrap around your neck. Skacel rates the skill level for this Rachael Hiatt design at intermediate.
Kenzie is a wonderful blend of 50% New Zealand Merino, 25% nylon, 10% angora, 10% alpaca, and 5% silk noils that add the tweediness. It is a delight to knit with, everything from shawls, blankets, to sweaters. Hand wash and dry flat.
The kit includes the pattern and yarn. For this project you will also need:
- 40" circular size US 7 OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE
