Ginsberg is not afraid to stand out. It is oversized and billowy, flaring out at the bottom. The drama isn't limited to the silhouette, however--a grid of different textured stitches accentuate the surface and are worked from a chart. The knitting starts with the back, knitted from the bottom up. The fronts are picked up from the upper back and worked downward. Stitches are picked up along the lower edge for the ribbing. Ginsberg has two sizes, one to fit 32-42" bust, with a measurement of 25.75" across the back, and to fit 44-54" bust, measuring 31.5" across the back. It can be hand washed and dried flat. Brooklyn Tweed has assigned this design a skill level rating of 3 out of 5.
Ginsberg uses Quarry, made by Brooklyn Tweed. This is a chunky weight yarn that is softly spun to mimic the look of unspun yarn but with more strength. It knits into a lofty, light but very warm and fuzzy fabric.
