INTERMEDIATE HARNESS WEAVING CLASSES:
NOTE: The weaving classes listed below are designed for those who have threaded a 4-harness loom, can follow a draft and weave independently. If you have not woven in a few years, we recommend that you take a Beginning Weave class first.
DOUBLE WEAVE BLANKET
Our popular blanket class is now 3 days long so that you can learn the entire process for weaving a double width project. You learn how to measure your warp, thread it, and weave a blanket approximately 48 x 72. You need to select your yarn at least a week in advance to make sure we have enough stock available in time for class. Since this is a slow-to-weave project, you can bring your own loom (26 or wider 4-or-more harnesses with 8-dent reed) to use and take it home if you do not finish weaving. If renting a loom, come back during the immediately following week to finish weaving your blanket. By Susan Bateman and MaryMargaret Eisfelder.
W31 Aug. 4-6 (Sat.-Mon.), 10 a.m.-4 p.m. 3 days $100.00
W31M Loom Rental $25.00
COLOR GAMP STUDY SAMPLER
Even very experienced weavers struggle with how to put colors together. You can explore color interaction by weaving a gamp with 18 colors in both the warp and weft. You will choose either wool or cotton and we will measure your warp. Please be sure to purchase either Perle Cotton (W39C) or Shetland Wool (W39W) before you check out. Your yarn pack will include a pre-wound warp to make 2 gamps and bobbins of 18 colors for the weft. You will thread the loom and weave two samplers, one in plain weave and the other in twill. You will need a 26 weaving width and at least 4 harnessesbring your own or rent one of ours. (If you rent ours and dont complete the samplers within the workshop time, plan to come back the following week to finish.) By Susan Bateman.

W39M Loom Rental $25.00
