Do you have a ball of yarn but no idea what the yardage is? The Yarn Meter was designed for just this situation. The Yarn Meter clamps to a counter or table and measures the yarn as it is fed through. It handles most weights of yarn but, because it requires tension on the yarn for an accurate measurement, this counter is best used with a ball winder to pull the yarn through the meter. The counter is mounted on a wooden base and includes a clamp for securing the base to a table or counter edge. The Yarn Meter measures the yarn in feet. Note: the Yarn Meter is not suitable for measuring lumpy, wide ribbon-style, or thick-n-thin yarns.
