WEAVING WITH TWO RIGID HEDDLES. You will learn several textured patterns while also learning the process of two-heddle weaving. Using two heddles allows you to work with finer yarns. The sample you weave will serve as a great reference tool as you climb your way to advanced rigid heddle weaving! You must be able to thread your own loom, and if you are planning to bring your own loom, please be sure to have two 10 dent heddles and 2nd heddle blocks installed on the loom. The required book The Weaver’s Idea Book ($29.95) will give you lots of inspiration for this essential technique. By Mary Margaret Eisfelder.

COLOR & WEAVE PINWHEEL TOWEL ON RIGID HEDDLE. In this class, you will learn to use a pick-up stick to create an 8-harness color-and-weave pattern on a rigid heddle loom. The pinwheel design will create a whimsical 14" x 28" towel using perle cotton. You will need at least a 16" wide loom, a 12- dent heddle, pick up stick and flat shuttles for class. If you are bringing your own loom, we will provide the instructions to pre-thread the warp. If you need to rent a loom, be sure to include the threading fee listed below and purchase your yarn 7 days in advance for us to have here for warping. By Mary Margaret Eisfelder.
DOUBLE WEAVE BLANKET. Get the most width out of your loom and learn how to weave a double-wide project. You will make a winter-worthy blanket using an acrylic and wool blend yarn. We will thread the loom for you in your color selections. During the class, you will weave off a plain weave blanket with final dimensions of 46" x 70". You will need to purchase your yarn at least 7 days prior to the class to allow for threading time. Materials not included; we can help you make appropriate yarn decisions. By Susan Bateman and Mary Margaret Eisfelder.

WORKING WITH CHENILLE. Everybody loves a slinky chenille scarf! Winding on the warp, though, can be tricky so let us show you the way to making a successful chenille project. We will have your loom threaded, but not wound on the warp beam. Once wound on, the scarf can be woven in an afternoon. Toughest part of this project is your deciding on which two colors of 1000 yds. Rayon Chenille (solid or variegated) to use. Please purchase these yarns at least 7 days before class starts so that we have ample time for threading the looms. By Susan Bateman.
W23--Nov. 17 (Sun.), 12-5 p.m. 1 day $45.00 THIS CLASS IS FULL.
