COLOR-AND-WEAVE SAMPLER. Sometimes interesting patterns can be the result of color interaction rather than complicated patterns or structures. In this class, you will explore a number of color sequences as you weave a sampler to use as a reference for future projects. The warp will be threaded in three different structures (straight twill, point twill, and plain weave) and you will weave ten or more weft color sequences to see how the color order used creates very different looking patterns even within the same structure. The warp will be pre-measured, but you will warp the 4-harness floor loom during class. You will need to puchase 2 mini cones of highly contrasting colors of 3/2 perle cotton when you enroll in this class. By Susan Bateman and Mary Margaret Eisfelder.
