Top with Lace Edging The knitted lace edging of this sweet top really stands out due to the smooth texture of Mandarin Petit. The bottom 14-stitch edging is knit first and sewn end-to-end sideways; body stitches are then picked up and knit in the round for the body. The sleeve lace is knitted separately and sewn to the armhole. The final touch is a crocheted flower attached at the neck. This top is sized for 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 years. Finished chest measurements are 23.5 (26, 28.5, 29.5, 32)". Finished lengths are 13.5 (14.75, 16, 17, 18.5)".
Mandarine Petit is a 100% cotton yarn made by SandnesGarn in Norway. It is a fingering weight, so the fabric knit with it is light and wearable in the summer. It can be machine washed and dried flat.
