Sofo BlanketWe love baby blankets but sometimes you want one that is less sweet and more fun. This one looks rough and ready and not a bit babyish. The center rectangle is knit using a 6-row check pattern that uses slipped stitches in place of carrying two colors at the same time. Once the rectangle is complete, the border is picked up and knit in garter stitch on all four sides. The finished measurements are approximately 46" wide and 26" long.
The Sofo blanket is knit using Remix from Berroco. Remix is made in France from 100% recycled fibers including nylon, cotton, acrylic, silk, and linen. Berroco has taken advantage of technology that allows for leftover fabrics from the ready-to-wear industry to be repurposed in an environmentally conscientious way to create this soft and comfortable yarn. And the best part? It can be machine washed and dried flat.
The kit includes the pattern and yarn. For this project you will also need a 29" circular needle size US 8 OR SIZED NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
