Instead of using double-pointed needles to knit in the round, why not use two long circular needles? Nenah will show you the long tail cast-on, how to position your stitches on two circular needles, use ribbing for the leg, make a heel flap, turn the heel, pick up the gusset stitches, make toe decreases and finish with the kitchener stitch.
