The Schacht bobbin winder clamps to a table surface with a built-in clamp, with the shaft of the winder running parallel to the table edge. The metal shaft, riding in a self-lubricating bronze bearing, is driven by the plastic belt around the wooden wheel. The tapered shaft will take the following:- Schacht, Leclerc, and Harrisville bobbins
- Bluster Bay and Leclerc pirns (but not Schacht)
- Leclerc plastic spools (but not cardboard spools)
The bobbin winder arrives finished and ready for assembly.
