This course teaches you easy techniques for English smocking. You will learn how to pleat the fabric using a pleater and how to prepare the fabric sections for smocking. Learn eight geometric smocking stitches using excellent close-ups and learn to do picture smocking and flower embellishment stitches. All of the main stitches used in smocking will be demonstrated by doing a sampler. Construction of a smocked Bishop dress is also covered. 98 minutes.
