Silk fusion is a unique process that bonds silk fibres into a lustrous kind of felt which can be either made transparent or opaque. Fused silk is perfect for stitching, beading, stamping, origami, quilting, jewelry, book covers, embossing, and other printing methods. Eight projects are presented in this video, each one demonstrating a different technique. You will make a journal slip- cover, a 3-dimensional vessel, a gossamer window hanging, and a series of five greeting cards using scrunching, embedding, embossing, rubber stamping, stencilling, and nature printing. Karen talks about silk fiber and shows the complete process of making fused silk. 120 minutes.
