This looks like a fleece-lined aviator's hat, but it is knitted from Lamb's Pride Bulky, an 85% wool / 15% mohair yarn. Tufts of wool roving are knit into the back of every other stitch to create the look of the fleece lining on the flaps and around the base of the hat. The top of the hat is unlined for better fit. The flaps are knit first, then joined as the hat is knit from the bottom up in the round. You will need 16" circular and double-pointed needles in US 10. The hat can be made in any color of Lamb's Pride Bulky and with either off-white or light brown roving. If you would like the hat in red with light brown roving, simply order the kit above.
