This sweet ruffled cardigan is knit from the top down. Raglan shaping at the ensures a good sleeve fit and one-piece construction means there is minimal sewing up. The sweater is primarily stockinette stitch, with ribbing at the cuffs and lower edge. Once the sweater is complete, stitches are picked up for the neckband and button bands. Stitches are picked up and knit for the ruffles. This kit uses Tonic, a worsted weight yarn from Jojoland. It is 85% acrylic/15% wool, can be machine washed, and comes in a wide range of solid colors. Sized for child's 4 (6, 8), the finished chest measurements are 26 (28, 30)" with lengths of 9 (9, 10)". The sweater can be machine washed and dried.
