Go beyond the boundaries of simple shaping with this challenging baby blanket. It is composed of 16 squares, each worked from the outside toward the center. The pieces within the square are built by picking up stitches from adjacent edges and working the new shape. The squares can either be made separately and sewn together or built on to each other. Once all of the squares are in place, stitches are picked up and worked around the edge for a garter stitch border. The finished blanket measures 32" x 32". It was designed by Lijuan Jing.
The Ninja Star blanket uses three colors of Tonic. It is an 85% acrylic/15% wool blend that can be machine washed and dried. It comes in a big range of colors so you can pick your own combination or go with the one shown.
