Moorhouse in LimaMoorhouse, designed by Martin Storey, is a traditional cabled sweater, with the cables running down both the front and back as well as a single cable on each sleeve. The neck is a generous shawl collar, optionally accented with a single button (not included). The front, back, and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom up, following a charted design for the cables. The front and back are joined at the shoulders, then stitches are picked up and knit for the collar. The sweater comes in seven sizes, with finished chest measurements of 40 (43, 45, 47, 50, 52, 54)" and finished lengths of 26 (27, 27.5, 27.5, 28.5, 28.5, 29)". The sleeves measure 19.5 (20, 20.5, 21, 21.5, 21.5, 22") from underarm to cuff.
This sweater is knit from Rowan's Lima. It is a worsted weight yarn made of 84% baby alpaca, 8% Merino wool, and 8% nylon. Its chainette construction and wool content help the sweater keep its shape while the alpaca makes this yarn wonderfully soft and warm. The colors are heathered for a subtle depth of color. The sweater can be hand washed and dried flat.
