We're seeing more and more poncho style sweaters in the fashion world today and we really love this one designed by Elizabeth Smith. The front and back are knit separately and then sewn together at the shoulder seams. Buttons on the sides close the poncho just under the arms, but it can also be worn unbuttoned. We are using Cascade Yarns Eco Wool, which is a 100% Peruvian highland wool. It can be hand washed and dried flat to block. Sized for S/M and L/XL with finished circumference of 63" and 72.25".
The kit includes the pattern and yarn. For this project you will also need:
- one 32" circular needle size US 10.5 OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE
- one 16" circular needle size US 10 OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE
- an extra 32" or 24" circular needle size US 10.5 used in finishing
- 4 stitch holders
- stitch markers, plus 2 removable stitch markers
- tapestry needle
- four 1" buttons
