The S-10 is trouble free! All Louet wheels have maintenance free ball bearings in the main hub and at the footman connection, a poly drive belt and simple leather brake--what can go wrong? The built-in lazy kate and simplicity of the wheel make it great for workshops. Especially suited to spinning medium and heavier yarns, the S-10 has higher speed options to make spinning finer yarns easiesr as well.. The S-10 is made of lacquered beech with birch plywood. The standard features include:

Available options include a high speed bobbin, distaff, and extended 4 bobbin kate. There once was a skeiner that would attach to the upright and sit above the wheel, but that is no longer available. Louet now has a free-standing skein winder suitable for all of their wheels (see above right).
