Lhasa Wilderness is produced by Bijou Basin Ranch, a family-owned yak ranch in Colorado, 65 miles southeast of Denver. They harvest their own fiber annually but also import fiber from other sources. In Lhasa Wilderness, the very fine, very soft yak fiber is spun with rayon from bamboo for additional luster and drape. The dye work, for both the solid and variegated colors, is done by Lorna's Laces. The yarn is luscious, pefect for a special scarf or one-skein cowl, or for a really luxurious sweater. Combine it with the natural colors for gorgeous colorwork.
Lhasa Wilderness comes in a reeled hank, which must be wound into a ball before use. We are happy to wind the yarn for you at no charge, but this does make the yarn non-returnable. If you would like your skeins wound, please request it in the "Shipping Instructions" box during the checkout process.
