Some babies sleep longer and more soundly when swaddled. This hooded cocoon is perfect for winter babies. It is knit using Weepaca, a worsted weight yarn that blends 50% washable Merino with 50% baby alpaca. It is lofty, soft, and it can even be machine washed. The cocoon begins with the picot cast on at the hood opening. Short rows shape the hood as it is worked downward. The button placket is worked as you go. The rest of the body is worked in the round down to the bottom. The cocoon is sized for babies up to 4 months and has a finished body circumference of 15.25". It can be hand or machine washed on gentle and dried flat. Designed by Kate Oates.
