Tussah silk is made from the cocoons of the Antherea mylitta moth, which produces a honey-colored silk with high luster. Rapunzel II is the result of plying two Rapunzel I strands together. The result is heavier and more resistant to abrasion than Rapunzel I, but still has a nice hand and drape.
This yarn comes in a reeled hank, which must be wound into a ball before use. We are happy to wind the yarn for you at no charge, but this does make the yarn non-returnable. If you would like your skeins wound, please request it in the "Shipping Instructions" box during the checkout process.
This yarn is eligible for the bulk discounts! When your order total, including all products, reaches $100, the yarn will receive a 10% discount, at $150, it will receive a 15% discount, and at $200, it will receive a 20% discount.
