Curly Q is made of three cotton plies spun together as a boucle. In addition, one of the plies is thick and thin. The result is highly textured, but strong enough for warp, provided you give it a little help going through the heddles. Not crazy about cream? Curly Q takes dye well, so try dyeing it with Procion dyes.
This yarn comes in a reeled hank, which must be wound into a ball before use. We are happy to wind the yarn for you at no charge, but this does make the yarn non-returnable. If you would like your skeins wound, please request it in the "Shipping Instructions" box during the checkout process. (If you will be dyeing this yarn, it is best to keep it in its reeled hank.)
This yarn is eligible for the bulk discounts! When your order total, including all products, reaches $100, the yarn will receive a 10% discount, at $150, it will receive a 15% discount, and at $200, it will receive a 20% discount. Other items (tools, books, DVDs, etc.) can contribute to the total but do not, themselves, receive a discount.
