This classic cabled cardigan makes use of some fun construction techniques. Designed by Sarah Hatton, it is worked in one piece from the yoke down. The yoke itself is worked sideways following a 20-row written repeat and then stitches are picked up along the lower edge and worked downward. The sleeves are worked downward as well. Once the sweater is complete, stitches are picked up and worked in rib for the neck and button bands. Finished chest measurements are 35 (39, 44, 48, 54)" with finished lengths of 22 (23, 23.5, 24.5, 25)".
Frosty is knit using a Rowan yarn that has been a favorite for years: Felted Tweed. It is a blend of 50% Merino wool, 25% alpaca, and 25% viscose spun into a DK weight yarn. It has a soft hand and beautiful tweeded colors. Best of all, it can be machine washed and dried flat.
