Flared PulloverVariegated yarns often work best on simple designs and this Kim Dolce pullover shows why. The 4-row broad spiral ribbing utilizes a twist stitch--no cable needle is needed. The fitted upper bodice and upper sleeves are stockinette stitch, while the lower sleeves and flared sweater base use the broad spiral ribbing. The front, back, and sleeves are knitted separately, then joined and the neck stitches picked up and knit. Six sizes are available, with finished chest measurements of 34 (35.75, 38, 40, 42.25, 44.25)" and finished lengths of 22 (23, 24, 24.5, 25.5, 26". The designer recommends 1" ease for a close fit.
We chose to kit this sweater in Merisoft Handpainted. It is a single-ply 100% merino wool yarn made by Punta Yarns. It is a variegated yarn with short color changes and subtle color combinations that result in a more blended, less "stripey" effect. It can be hand washed and dried flat.
