If you've been lucky enough to take a class from Jason Collingwood, you know he has a great sense of design and color. He drew on this to help create this line of yarn. It is designed for use in rugs, so it wears well, and comes in a good range of colors. This is a lighter weight than our other rug wool, so it allows you to explore the possibilities of color blending using multiple strands of weft yarn held together.
The cones of this yarn vary in weight, so the price per cone is calculated based on the price per pound above. Most cones are slightly over a pound.
How much do you need? The best solution is to do a sample and then calculate for the entire project based on the amount used for the sample. If you just need a rough estimate, a general rule of thumb for heavy weft-faced wool rugs is 8 ounces per square foot of woven fabric.
