Child's Brownie Hat in Cascade 220
This nifty topper is a cavalcade of texture! Designed by Woolly Wormhead, it combines cables, seed stitch, and rib as it rises to its adorable little peak. The cabled band is knit first, working horizontally and beginning with a provisional cast on. The ends are grafted together and then stitches are picked up along the side for the crown. Finally, stitches are picked up and worked for the tiny ear flaps on each side. The hat is designed to fit snugly on head sizes 17 (19, 21)" with actual finished measurements of 15.75 (18, 20.25)"
The Brownie Hat uses Cascade 220 from Cascade Yarns. It is a classic worsted weight yarn of 100% wool. The color line is broad and includes solids and heathers, brights, naturals, and raggs. It can be hand washed and dried flat.
