Bonfire in Comfort Worsted
Your little girl will be happy to wear this long tunic or dress knit in Comfort Worsted. The front and back are knit from the bottom up using a rib stitch for the skirt. At the waist, the front switches to a more decorative combination of stitches that includes a small cable. This combination is worked following a 4-row chart. The back is worked in the rib stitch with a slit made for the opening by putting stitches on a holder and then working the left and right sides separately. The buttonhole band is worked as the left side is worked. The stitch pattern for the sleeves is worked following a chart. After the sleeves are knit, all pieces are sewn together and a simple crochet edging is worked around the neck edge. Finished chest measurements are 26 (28, 30, 32)". Finished lengths are 24.5 (25, 26.5, 28)".
This sweater is designed for Comfort from Berroco. Comfort is a blend of 50% super fine nylon and 50% super fine acrylic. It is a soft, supple yarn with a slight sheen accentuated by cabled construction, giving it a smooth surface that shows off textured stitches.
