We love Gavell's boho vibe! Embrace it and break out the batik skirt and fringed bag or use it to give a quirky twist to a more sedate emsemble. It is knit in Berroco's Summer Silk, a blend of silk, cotton, and nylon that is spun into a lofty DK-weight yarn. Gavell is worked from the top down, with the fronts and the back knit separately down to the bottom of the armholes. The shoulders are shaped using short rows. Then the parts are joined and the body is knit downward in one piece. Stitches are picked up at the armhole and worked to the cuff for the drop-shoulder sleeves. Gavell was designed by Alison Green to be worn with 2-4" of ease. The fronts meet but do not close. The finished chest measurements are 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58)" with lengths of 25.5 (26.25, 26.75, 27.25, 27.75, 28, 28.5)". The sweater can be hand washed and dried flat. Berroco rates Gavell as for intermediate skill level.
