Beginning Crochet: Stocking Cap for All

June 29 (Mon.) 6-8 p.m. 4 weeks

You will love learning how to crochet with the Spring Chicks ($5) hat pattern designed by Heather Walpole. There are sizes for children and adults-so get started with crochet by making one for all your family and friends. You will learn basic crochet techniques, learn how to read a pattern, and how to change colors. This project uses sport weight yarn in 2 colors and crochet hook size H (5.0mm). By Debbie Matthias.

Please purchase your class supplies before the first day of class. You can order online and we can hold it at the store for you to pick up on the first day. Just be sure to mention that should hold it for you at the store.

Class supply list:

  • Download and print the Spring Chicks pattern ($5). We can print it for you in the store too.
  • Approximately 150-290 yards of a sport weight yarn like Nature Spun Sport. Follow the pattern size you wish to make to figure the amount of yarn you will need. You can make a solid or striped cap.
  • 5 mm or H crochet hook
  • Stitch markers
  • Scissors
  • Blunt tapestry needle

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2-hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
