Baby Rib Pullover in Fixation
Anastasia Gallaher designed this very grown-up looking pullover for the baby on the go! It is practical and rugged because it is knit in Fixation, a yarn that blends hard-wearing cotton with a little elastic for some extra stretch. The back, front, and drop-shoulder sleeves are knit separately in the rib stitch and sewn together. The diamond pattern is worked into the front following written-out instructions. A row of single crochet finishes the neck edge. The sweater comes in sizes for newborn to 3-year-olds. The finished chest measurements are 18 (20, 22, 24)" and finished lengths are 12 (13, 14, 15)".
This pullover is designed for Fixation from Cascade Yarns. It is a blend of 98.3% cotton and 1.7% elastic. It is quite durable, with a firm twist. Because of the elastic, the fabric stretches more yet retains its shape better than 100% cotton. It can be machine washed on warm and dried flat.
The kit includes the pattern and the yarn. For this project you will also need:
- single pointed needles in size US 7 OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE
- cable needle
- crochet hook size H
- tapestry needle
