The Alpaca Silk babushka is so light weight and supple. Seed stitch is the base pattern for this wrap; you will increase 2 stitches or cast-on 3 stitches at the beginning of each row to make the triangular shaping. The main body is knit first on size 5 needles and then the 13-row ruffle is picked up from the body and made. It wraps and ties beautifully. Finished babushka is approximately 17” x 64”. Alpaca Silk is a blend of 50% alpaca and 50% silk. It can be hand washed and dried flat or dry cleaned.
