Little Wave is a classic cardigan that can be worn for fall transplanting in the garden or to work at the office. The pattern includes instructions for different versions for men and women, with slightly different proportions and shaping for a better fit. The 6-stitch textured pattern is repeated on both the front and back of the sweater while the saddle-shoulder sleeves are stockinette. The body is worked from the bottom up in one piece. The sleeves are worked separately in the round and then joined to the body at the underarms. After the shoulders are completed, stitches are picked up and knit for the front bands and collar. Little Wave is designed to be worn with 1-4" of ease. Finished chest measurements for the women's version are 31.75 (36.5, 41.25, 46, 51, 55.75)" with finished back lengths of 23 (23.5, 24.75, 25.25, 26.75, 27.25)". For the men's version, finished chest measurements are 31.75 (36.5, 41.25, 46, 51, 55.75)" with finished back lengths of 23.75 (25.25, 27.5, 28.25, 29.5, 30)". Brooklyn Tweed has assigned this Gudrun Johnston design a skill level rating of 4 out of 5.
