Carol will teach you how to make the herringbone stitch and increase and decrease for tubular and flat herringbone. From this knowledge, you will be able to make the following projects: a 3-D beaded ring, a flat braided ribbon bracelet, a bracelet constructed of fan-shaped elements, and a sea urchin-shaped basket. Four different methods of turning at the end of the rows will also be learned and then each will be incorporated appropriately into the projects. Several twisting and tubular pieces will be demonstrated so that you can design your own necklace. The directions are explicit, and written instructions also are included for reference. This is an intermediate video where some beadwork skills using seed beads are helpful. Many of the beading tips and hints shared will be of value even to the experienced beadworker. 109 minutes.
