Alpine Meadow in Crestone
Alpine Meadow, designed by Susan Mills, is a mix of sporty shaping and pretty accent. The front, back, and sleeves are worked primarily in reverse stockinette with ribbed cuffs and lower edge. The overall shape is A-line for a little swing, with the raglan shaping at the shoulders emphasized by knit stitch accents. The center panel on the front is worked from a 35-stitch, 20-row chart. After all pieces are complete, they are joined and stitches are picked up and worked for the neckband. The pullover comes in six sizes with finished chest measurements of 33 (35.5, 38, 40.5, 44.5, 49)". Finished lengths are 21.75 (23.75, 24, 24.75, 25.5, 27.5)".
Alpine Meadow is made using Crestone. Part of Classic Elite's MountainTop line, Crestone is left in its natural, undyed wool color. Two natural shades have been plied together, ragg-style, to create a durable but soft yarn that will work up beautifully into many types of garments. It can be hand washed and dried flat.
The kit includes the pattern and the yarn. For this project you will also need:
- single pointed needles in size US 6 OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE
- 16" circular needle in size US 5
- stitch markers
- cable needle
- tapestry needle
