Bombyx silk is the cultivated silk from the cocoons of the silk moth Bombyx mori. It is reeled silk, giving it high luster, strength, and resilience. If you are dyeing your own silk or just want to stock up on natural, the cone is the more economical way to do it.
The cones of this yarn vary in weight, so the price per cone is calculated based on the price per pound above. Cones are typically about 14 oz.
This yarn is eligible for the bulk discounts! When your order total, including all products, reaches $100, the yarn will receive a 10% discount, at $150, it will receive a 15% discount, and at $200, it will receive a 20% discount. Other items (tools, books, DVDs, etc.) can contribute to the total but do not, themselves, receive a discount.
